I Wonder
What would a romantic comedy written by men and for men be like? Not "for men" in the sense of having the level of humor seen in early Adam Sandler, but "for men" in the sense of "not obviously targeted at heterosexual women."

The 40 Year Old Virgin? Knocked Up would be my second guess, although the sex comes first and the romance next in that one.

I thought that Love Actually was fairly universal... (Public service announcement: that's not the Milwaukee Airport)
I'd be game to watch it though, if you do find a romantic comedy for men, as those for women generally irritate me.

Okay, Love, Actually is a Romantic Comedy that breaks the mold of fulfilling the (putative) fantasies of middle- or upper-middle class heterosexual white women. Which is perhaps why I like it--it's not so #$%^ formulaic.

P.S. If you haven't seen Say Anything, it's a classic Jon Cusack romantic comedy from the 80s. Maybe the definitive Jon Cusack movie.

The other John Cusack movie that might fit the bill of man's-romantic-comedy would be Grosse Point Blank, which is really great. And High Fidelity.
